Its 5% stat increase from its full-set bonus made it the best set for Magic Find, and when the ⏣ Dwarven Mines update rolled around, it was used a little bit due to the buff affecting mining stats. That left only Superior Dragon Armor, which, at first, seemed to retain a bit of a niche. Strong Dragon Armor would be replaced by Shadow Assassin Armor, and in turn, Necron's Armor. Old and Protector Dragon Armor, though useful for early-game Tanks, would be phased out by Necromancer Lord Armor and Goldor's Armor. Slowly, power-creep rendered most of the Dragon Armors useless. But even the first set of armor in the Catacombs, Adaptive Armor, already beat out many sets of Dragon Armor, including Holy Dragon Armor, a new, healing-focused set only obtainable from the Dungeons. ![]() Even if they weren't dungeonized, these sets still offered decent stats against the monsters of the early Catacombs. When Dungeons were first released, Dragon Armors were very useful in the early floors. However, the Dragon Armors would not reign forever. ![]() ![]() They were the epitome of a late-game player's wardrobe. And of course, Superior Dragon Armor, the greatest of the seven, with its well-rounded stats and fantastic full set bonus. Protector and Old Dragon Armor grew to become the tankiest sets the game had seen up to that point. Strong and Unstable Dragon Armors became new staples of dealing damage, the former because of the strength it gave, and the latter because of its crit damage. Wise Dragon Armor gave an absolutely insane amount of ✎ Intelligence. ![]() Young Dragon Armor gave an unparalleled amount of ✦ Speed, something that a world without God Potions valued highly. Before the End update, the best armor sets were Hardened Diamond.or maybe Emerald Armor.or perhaps Magma Armor! But the Dragon Armors blew them all out of the water. When they were first introduced alongside the End update in 2019, the Dragon Armor sets shook up the meta greatly.
